Pietra Grey Marble Slabs for Wall Panels

Pietra Grey Marble wall panels create a charcoal-grey backdrop for hotel lobbies, elevator halls and reception areas. Fine white veins add detail without overwhelming the dark architectural surface. Iran-origin marble is available as slabs or elevation-based panels in 18 / 20 mm, with 30 mm custom specifications.

18 mm and 20 mm are practical thicknesses for most interior wall-panel work; 30 mm can be produced where the project specifically requires it. Polished and honed finishes are the main choices; leathered or brushed surfaces can also be considered where the project requires them.

A Dark Backdrop with Controlled White Movement

Use calmer panels across a long wall to keep the stone behind furniture, signage and lighting. A more directional selection works well around an entrance or reception point, where the white veins can draw attention to a particular part of the room.

A 600 × 1200 mm module creates a stronger rectangular rhythm than a square panel. Larger custom panels give the veining more uninterrupted space, while matching corner returns carry the dark surface around an elevator surround or wall end.

How Pietra Grey Marble Reads on Large Wall Panels

On a wall, Pietra Grey reads first as a dark grey plane and then as a network of fine white lines. Stronger diagonal veins become more visible when several large panels sit next to each other, so the slab pattern matters more than it does on small tiles.

Our Pietra Grey slab images show both relatively calm slabs and slabs with more directional white veining. A quieter lobby wall may use more uniform slabs, while a feature area can make more use of the directional veins.

Wall Panel Thickness, Finish and Cut-to-Size Supply

For repeated wall areas, 600 × 600 mm and 600 × 1200 mm are useful starting modules. Larger lobby or feature-wall panels are normally cut from the approved elevation, where panel width, height, joints, corners, openings and installation sequence all affect the layout.

Vein Direction, Continuous Layout and Panel Matching

Related vein directions connect neighbouring panels across a long wall or elevator surround. More directional slabs also offer opportunities for a mirrored feature composition.

The project images below show Pietra Grey slabs arranged to compare vein direction and continuity. A digital or photographed dry lay can then be used with panel numbers so the wall is packed and installed in the intended order.

Mesh-Backed Pietra Grey Slabs

The Pietra Grey material shown below includes a slab with mesh backing on the rear surface. The image makes the backside condition visible alongside the front-face slab views.

Mesh backing supports slab handling and stabilisation during fabrication. The rear-face image shows the reinforcement on the illustrated material.

Pietra Grey is used for hotel lobbies, elevator halls, reception walls and apartment public areas where the design calls for a dark neutral surface with controlled white movement. Across a large wall, the grey field reads as the main architectural surface while the veins become the secondary pattern.

Panel Numbering and Export Packing

Panel numbers connect each finished piece to the wall elevation and packing sequence, carrying the layout from fabrication to installation.

Panels can then be packed by area or installation sequence. Our standard natural-stone MOQ is 50 m², and normal product lead time is about 25–35 days depending on drawings, quantity and fabrication.
