200sq.metersBrazilian Calacatta Grey Marble is a Brazil-origin natural stone with a pale grey-white background, dark branching veins and irregular grey patches. Excellent Stone supplies Brazilian Calacatta Grey Marble slabs, tiles and custom cut-to-size pieces for stone wholesalers, fabricators and project contractors, including wall panels, countertops, vanity tops and other architectural components.
Brazilian Calacatta Grey has a fragmented, brecciated appearance rather than the long, sweeping veins of traditional Italian Calacatta marble. Irregular grey-white patches are surrounded by charcoal lines, with occasional warmer grey-beige areas breaking up the cooler background.
The pattern changes considerably across a full slab. Some sections contain broad, pale areas with relatively few dark lines; others show a tighter network of charcoal veins. These differences become especially noticeable when the stone is cut into smaller pieces.

The contrast gives the stone a strong visual presence on large surfaces. A full slab preserves the relationship between the pale areas and the darker network, while smaller tiles create a more varied overall pattern.
Brazilian Calacatta Grey is commercially available in large slab formats. Market references include slabs around 2850 × 1750 mm and 3170 × 1970 mm. Actual dimensions and thicknesses must be confirmed against the selected material before an order is approved.

Slab dimensions are sourcing references rather than a live-stock listing. Final specifications, quantity and production arrangements are confirmed for each order.
Polished Brazilian Calacatta Grey Marble produces a reflective surface that emphasizes the difference between light grey areas and darker veins. This is the main finish shown in commercial slab listings and is suited to designs where the stone pattern should remain prominent.
Honed Brazilian Calacatta Grey Marble provides a softer, lower-reflection appearance. It reduces surface glare but retains the natural variation in the material. Honed production should be confirmed and approved with a finish sample.
The choice between polished and honed is primarily an appearance decision. For flooring or other performance-sensitive applications, slip resistance, maintenance and project requirements need separate consideration.
Brazilian Calacatta Grey can be fabricated for interior architectural surfaces and custom stone components. The most suitable product form depends on the design, piece dimensions and installation conditions.
Feature walls and wall cladding: Large-format panels retain more of the original slab composition and reduce the number of visible joints. They are particularly suitable for reception areas, decorative walls and other prominent interior surfaces.
Interior flooring: Cut-to-size floor tiles can be produced for residential and suitable commercial interiors. Tile dimensions, thickness, surface finish and slip-resistance requirements should be established for the installation.
Bathroom vanity tops: Custom vanity components can include basin cutouts, faucet openings, backsplashes and finished edges. Cabinet dimensions, support conditions and plumbing positions should be included in the drawings.
Countertops and islands: Larger stone pieces can be fabricated for counters and decorative islands. Supporting structures, openings, joint positions and exposed edges must be coordinated with the fabrication plan.
Stairs and furniture: Stair treads, risers, table tops and other made-to-order pieces can be produced to a size schedule, with appropriate edge processing and handling protection.
For kitchen worktops, exterior installations or other demanding uses, the selected material's mineral classification and physical properties should be verified. A commercial marble name alone does not establish quartzite-level resistance to acids, abrasion or weathering.
For multi-slab orders, color matching alone is not enough. The size and position of the pale patches, the density of the dark vein network and the proportion of warmer grey areas all affect the appearance of the finished installation.

Approve the slab group. Review full-slab photos, dimensions and identification details for the quantity required. A small sample can show color and finish, but cannot represent the complete pattern distribution.
Place the main pieces before cutting. On a wall elevation or countertop drawing, identify where major grey patches and dark veins should appear. Positioning the cutting outlines on slab photos helps assess the result before fabrication.
Check adjoining panels together. Similar background colors do not guarantee continuous veining. If adjoining panels need a particular direction or relationship, their positions should be confirmed as a group rather than piece by piece.
Bookmatching can be considered where suitable consecutive slabs are available. It should be agreed through actual slab images and a proposed layout, rather than assumed from a single reference photo.
Excellent Stone supplies Brazilian Calacatta Grey Marble in slab and cut-to-size forms for wholesale and project orders. Fabrication can be arranged from approved drawings, BOQ or a piece-by-piece size schedule.
The approved production information establishes dimensions, thickness, finish, quantity, edge details and any required openings. For projects with coordinated panels, slab identification and cutting direction can also be included.
1. Material Inspection
Check the selected slabs against the approved color range and visible condition. Review fissures, repairs and reinforcement where applicable before production.
2. Fabrication Inspection
Verify cutting dimensions, thickness, edge profiles, openings and surface finish against the approved production schedule.
3. Pre-shipment Inspection
Check finished quantities, workmanship, piece identification and packing protection. Inspection photographs and packing records support shipment verification.
Large slabs are secured in suitable export transport frames. Finished panels, tiles and fabricated pieces are packed according to their dimensions, thickness and vulnerable edges. Packing lists and piece marks help buyers identify the delivered materials.
Material availability, MOQ and lead time depend on the selected slabs and fabrication scope. These are confirmed in the quotation rather than treated as fixed for every order.

Is Brazilian Calacatta Grey marble or quartzite?
This product is commercially sold as Calacatta Grey Marble. Similar Brazilian stone names are also used for other rock types, so material identification or test documentation should be requested when mineral classification affects the intended use.
Can Brazilian Calacatta Grey be used for kitchen countertops?
It can be considered for countertop fabrication, but the selected material's resistance to acidic liquids, scratching and staining should be checked before approval. A marble trade name does not guarantee quartzite performance.
Can Brazilian Calacatta Grey Marble slabs be bookmatched?
Bookmatching depends on whether suitable consecutive slabs are available. The intended pattern should be checked using actual slab photos and a proposed cutting layout.
Can custom tiles, wall panels and vanity tops be produced?
Yes. These can be quoted from drawings or a size schedule, subject to the selected material and fabrication requirements.
How is the material approved before production?
Full-slab photos, identification details and an agreed color range can be used for material approval. For coordinated panels, the cutting layout should also be confirmed before fabrication.
