Sensa Platino Quartzite Introduction
SenSa Platino Quartzite is a premium natural quartzite quarried in the interior of Brazil. Its mineral composition gives the stone a cool, balanced grey character, while flowing veins curve across every slab like ocean currents. Standard stock slabs are processed to a mirror-polished finish — the surface most requested for this grey quartzite — which brings out the depth of the grey background and the sharp contrast of the charcoal veining. Honed and leather textures are available on request. Unlike engineered quartz, every slab is one of a kind: the veining, tone, and movement on one sheet will never repeat on another. We photograph each slab individually in our warehouse, so buyers can select the exact sheet — including matched book-matched sets for projects worldwide.
Sensa Platino Quartzite Slabs Color & Vein Patterns
SenSa Platino Quartzite presents a natural mid-grey background, polished to a mirror finish, with flowing charcoal-grey veins that curve across each slab like rivers or ocean waves. Soft whitish and silver-grey cloud patches run between the darker bands, giving the stone clear visual depth and a consistently cool grey tone — free of warm beige undertones.
As genuine Brazilian quartzite, veining varies from block to block: some sheets read calm and even with gentle movement, while bolder slabs show stronger branching charcoal rivers. This natural variation is the signature of premium material rather than a defect, which is why buyers select from live slab photos instead of relying on small samples.
The neutral grey palette pairs easily with white, black, timber, and metal cabinetry, making Platino a steady reorder item for kitchen worktops, waterfall islands, bathroom vanities, reception desks, and feature walls. Block-matched selection and bookmatched sets are available on request for large commercial projects.

SenSa Platino Quartzite Finishes Available
The standard wholesale surface is high-polished (gloss above 90°), the finish that best shows off the stone's movement. Other surfaces are produced to order:
| Finish | Look & Best Use |
| Polished (standard) | Gloss ~ 90°, vibrant color, sharpest veining clarity; default for wholesale slabs |
| Honed | Smooth matte, reduces reflection, enhances natural structure |
| Leather | Matte, tactile, smudge-resistant; made-to-order, 2–3 week lead time |
| Matt / Brushed | Ultra-low sheen for modern, minimal interiors |
SenSa Platino Quartzite Processing Tolerances & Quality Control
All slabs are calibrated on automated gang-saw and polishing lines, then inspected before shipment. We work to EN 1469 / ASTM C616 dimensional tolerances — the same international standards fabricators and installers expect for premium natural stone.
| Inspection Item | Standard Tolerance |
| Thickness (calibrated) | ±1 mm; ±0.5 mm premium-calibrated option |
| Length / width, cut pieces ≤600 mm | ±1 mm |
| Length / width, cut pieces 600–1,200 mm | ±1.5 mm |
| Squareness (diagonal difference) | ≤1.5 mm per meter |
| Flatness / warping | ≤0.5 mm over 300 mm |
| Color consistency, same batch | within ΔE 3.0; within one slab ΔE 2.0 |
Optional anti-stain surface treatment (food-contact-safe impregnation) is available, removing the need for annual resealing by end clients. Water absorption below 0.5% makes the stone suitable for outdoor kitchens and facade cladding even in freeze-thaw climates.
SenSa Platino Quartzite Applications
Widely specified for kitchen worktops and waterfall islands, bathroom vanity tops and shower walls, splashbacks, fireplace surrounds, and feature wall cladding. In commercial projects it appears on reception desks, hotel lobby panels, restaurant counters, and retail display surfaces. Its dense, low-porosity polished surface also performs well outdoors — covered terraces, outdoor kitchens, and facade cladding.

SenSa Platino Quartzite FAQ
Q1: What is your MOQ for SenSa Platino quartzite?
A: MOQ starts at 100 m², available from one slab. OEM/ODM packing and cut-to-size fabrication are acceptable.
Q2: What is the lead time for polished slabs?
A: Lead time is roughly 2–3 weeks for stocked polished slabs after receiving the deposit.
Q3: Can I get stone samples?
A: Free 100 × 100 mm sample pieces are available. Larger 300 × 300 mm samples taken from the actual production batch can be sent on a freight-collect basis.
Q4: Does SenSa Platino quartzite need sealing?
A: Quartzite itself is dense with low water absorption. With our optional impregnation anti-stain treatment, end clients rarely need annual resealing.
Q5: Which thickness should I choose, 20 mm or 30 mm?
A: 20 mm is ideal for modern slim-profile worktops. 30 mm is the standard option for long unsupported kitchen islands and commercial surfaces.
Q6: How are the slabs packed for shipment?
A: Slabs are loaded on A-frames inside fumigated seaworthy plywood crates. They are placed face-to-face, with foam and corrugated protection between each slab. Every crate is strapped, moisture-wrapped and marked with order and container numbers. Bundle weight is controlled within safe lifting limits for the destination yard.
