New Absolute Black Granite is designed for buyers who need a restrained black material across more than one product format. Full slabs can be stocked or fabricated locally, while tiles, strips, stairs, sills and other cut-to-size pieces can be produced for the same project package. This reduces the need to source unrelated black stones for different areas of one building or landscape schedule.
The material appears darkest and most reflective when polished. Honed slabs create a softer, low-sheen black, while leathered and acid-brushed surfaces introduce more visible texture. Because each finish changes the apparent shade, the finish sample and the current production batch should be approved together rather than approving the color name alone.

Polished slabs provide the deepest black and are suitable for interior wall panels, countertop fabrication, reception surfaces and other applications where a reflective finish is required. Honed slabs keep the same fine black pattern with a more muted surface.
Leathered surfaces add a fine tactile texture while retaining a dark overall tone.
